Navigation aids

  • The buttons on this site can be accessed using the Tab key to move from one button to the next.
  • Buttons have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail.
  • All links can be followed in any browser, even if scripting is turned off, with the exception of the Print Notes button (see JavaScript entry below).
  • There are no links that open new windows without warning.

Images

All content images used in the homepage and all archives include descriptive ALT tags. Certain elements within this site uses tables for layout. To address accessibility issues with tables:

  • The tables include a description of the layout and purpose of the table in a description tag.
  • Tables have been optimised for reading efficiency.

This site has been developed for, and tested with, Internet Explorer v6.0 and above and Firefox v3.5.1 and above. Some elements used by this site may not be supported by earlier browsers:

If JavaScript is enabled, additional functions are available to the user. However, display of the site does not rely on JavaScript. Additional features available with JavaScript are:

  • The ability to use the search function
  • The ability for the navigation menu to be concatenated

In line with the Victorian Government Website Guidelines, this website has been developed with accessibility in mind. These standards and policies state that all Victorian government websites should:
